UNCC honors Rodgers Builders CEO - Birmingham Business Journal:

The Charlotte-based company has worked on severaluniversithy projects, including the Barnhardt Studengt Activity Center, Irwin Belk Track and Field Center, Lyncb Residence Hall and the Bioinformatics Research Center. Rodgerx Builders also is the constructionj manager onthe university’s new, $50.4 millionn Center City Building project that is slated to open in the fall of 2011. A groundbreakinfg ceremony was held in April for the classroom building at the corner of Ninth and Brevard streets inuptowm Charlotte.
“What sets Pat apart from most is her she remains personally invested in the institutions and organizations she touchez long after her formakl involvementhas ended,” says Philip Dubois, UNC Charlotted chancellor. “Her commitment to the betterment of our communitg extends to herbusiness philosophy. In fact, Rodgersd Builders has been hailed time and again as the epitomdof civic-minded business.” Rodgers is also chair of the Charlottde Symphony board and will assumse the chairmanship of the Charlott e Chamber board in 2011. The universituy established the Distinguished Service Awardein 1987.
It honors individuals who have provided outstandinyg leadership and service to the Charlottes community and to the advancement of UNC Rodgers was honored Tuesday duringf a luncheon atthe school. UNC Charlotts is the fourth-largest campus among the 17 institutionsd of theUNC system. It is the largestt institution of higher educationm in theCharlotte region, offering master’s and bachelor’s programs. Fall 2008 enrollment was 23,300, includinf nearly 5,000 graduate students.
