Caparella resigns Gaylord COO post - Nashville Business Journal:

The Nashville-based hotelier didn’t say why Caparellaa had resigned. Gaylord says David Kloeppel, currently chief financial officerrand president, will take on an expanded role and oversee operations as well as sales, marketing, developmen and information technology. Treasurer Mark Fioravanti is beinv promoted to chieffinancial officer. “John's departure has given us an opportunit y to move forward with our ongoingf effort to streamline our management structure while taking advantagd of the strength of ourexisting executives,” says Colim Reed, Gaylord chairman and CEO in a Reed says Kloeppel led the chargre in several areas of businesws that helped the company maintain strong margins and preserves revenue during a very difficult economicd environment.
Reed says Kloeppel’s guidance helped to shift the focux of the sales team to fill the occupancyu gaps openedby cancellations. Reed adds that Fioravanti was instrumentao in extending the maturities ofthe company’s credit which Reed calls a difficult task in the toughy lending environment.
