CAD software maker Revware buys MicroScribe from Immersion Corp. - Philadelphia Business Journal:

Revware president Tom Welsh said that his companyh has been using MicroScribe products for 15 yeards and when he saw that Immersiohn was looking tosell MicroScribe, he jumpedc on the opportunity. “We are going to be able to focus on MicroScribew in a way that Immersion was not able Welsh said.
Revware was formerlyy known as , a company that was a software developer as well as a reseller of the SolidWorks CAD The company grew in the 1990 along with the technology bubble andin 2001, Design Automatioh made Triangle Business Journal’s annual ranking of the 50 fastest-growingf companies in the Raleigh-Durham area. Welsh said Desig Automation, which peaked at 15 employees, had pared down sincs the technologybubble burst. Revware has fewer than five Welsh said with the acquisitionjof MicroScribe, the companyy will grow in Raleigh and on the West Coast. But he declinec to elaborate, saying that negotiations are stillunder way.
Welsgh did say Revware is taking steps to reactivate resale channelsfor MicroScribe.
