The university will provide free traditionaland e-bookj versions of required class reading material to studentds who are enrolled in either the Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCaP) or online Textbooks typically cost $100 per class at the university'w ADCaP and Universe Online program. Students can on average, up to $1,200 a year in the cost of booke through the newtextbook program. Cyndi Wilson vice president for extended academic programs forIncarnated Word, says the school is offering free textbookxs as an added benefit to its students.
“During this toughb economic time, we continue to look for ways to assisg UIW students with theie highereducation expenses,” Porter says. The universith created the ADCaP and Universe Online programs as a way for busy adultz to earn theircollege degrees. ADCa operates extension campuses throughout the city to provide more optionws for people to take classes who couldr not otherwise attend themain campus. Universe Onlins offers Internet-based degrees and coursework. The University of the Incarnat Word is a private liberal arts higher education The schoolhas 6,000 students.
